Title: Lines
Author:
cuda
Fandom: The Fast & The Furious films I & IV
Rating: T+
Pairing: Dom/Brian. One-sided, no romance, Dom's perspective only
Disclaimer: This was written for pure enjoyment. I don't own the Fast & Furious franchise or any of the characters depicted in this story. Roses red, violets blue. I no own; you no sue.
Notes: More character study. Getting into the pairing I actually want to get into seems to require a great deal of sidling. Mentally, I have to follow Dom into that frame of mind, as fun and delightfully messy as it'd be to just drop right into teh sex0rs. Yanno, I kind of prefer pairings that aren't canon and have chemistry but would be difficult to get going. They're a hell of a challenge.

Even for a hellbent streetracer, there's lines. A man ain't nothing without an honor code. You stick to your code, decisions are easy math. The problem is dealing with what happens later. That's the price you pay, and it means getting strong enough to live up to yourself.
Brian Spilner. Brian O'Conner. I like the real name better even if I want to break his neck; 'Spilner' sounds like a serial killer. So he's a cop, tricks himself out like a buster with an expensive car, moves in on my team. My sister. Me. Pretty simple story; O'Conner lied his head off, worked with the Feds to put me away and chickened out just short.
He didn't ship me back to Lompoc, but I still want to break his neck. Pretty sure the Feds'd like to do the same thing. If they haven't yet.
Interesting guy. Pretty, not the face you see around my neighborhood. Nobody here born with eyes that blue. Those eyes connected and it was like sparks; flash of NOS. I could see the flash of thinking, hard thinking, gone in a second. Cocky guy. Made me wonder what made him tick. What he was thinking while he was looking. Bet he was just hoping I'd tell him something. Make his job easier. But I'm still thinking about it. Idiot for thinking about it.
He used to date my sister. And he fucked me over. There's just some lines you don't cross; some things you don't do. Easy math.
Dealing with it?
Not gonna talk about it.
